Early Life and Education
Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah was born on September 3, 1971 in Otolo quarters of Nnewi, in Anambra South area of Anambra State.
He was born as the first son of seven children to Mr. & Mrs. Alphonsus Ubah. Due to family financial constraints, Ifeanyi dropped out of Premiere Academy in Lugbe, Abuja at a young age to learn a trade.
Despite leaving formal education early, Ifeanyi attended several local and international business courses and seminars, focusing on leadership and business management.
Business and Ventures
Ifeanyi Ubah started business after he finished learning the car spare parts business and became a tyre exporter. He worked across countries in West Africa like Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and DR Congo.
He expanded into Oil and Gas in 2001 by creating Capital Oil and Gas Limited.
He expanded his business ventures to Europe, including Belgium and the United Kingdom.
Ifeanyi Ubah had other businesses and investments which included;

Political Career
Ubah contested the Anambra gubernatorial election under the platform of the Labour Party in 2014 but he did not win.
In February 24, 2019, he was declared the winner of the Anambra South Senatorial elections under the platform of the Young Progressive Party (YPP). Later, he defected to Nigeria’s ruling party, the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Attempted Assassination
Ubah survived an assassination attempt in September 2022, when gunmen attacked his convoy in Enugwu-Ukwu, Anambra State. His bulletproof vehicle saved him, but at least 5 people, including 2 policemen, were killed.
