Stella Soi Lang’at has been nominated by President Ruto as the secretary for the Gender, Culture and Arts Cabinet.
If approved, Stella will replace Aisha Jumwa who was among those dismissed in the course of the anti-finance bill protest.

– Stella Soi Lang’at hails from Sotik subcounty in Bomet, Kenya.
– She currently holds the position of Director of Administration in the Ministry of Interior and Coordination and National Government.
– Previously, she worked in the State Department of Housing and Urban Planning.
– From April 2020 to October 2021, she served as the county secretary at the county government of Bomet.
– In 2019, she was the senior deputy county commissioner II in charge of Nyando subcounty.
– Between March 2015 and February 2019, she served as the deputy commissioner for Bomet East, Sameta, and Mwingi subcounties.
– Stella Soi Lang’at also worked as an Under Secretary in the office of the Attorney General from February 2014 to March 2015.
– Her educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Public Administration (Executive) from Moi University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science.
If approved by Parliament, she will take on the important role of Cabinet Secretary for Gender, Arts, and Culture.
